Ford Motor Company and Purdue University are working on a new EV charging cable that could reduce EV recharging times to become comparable with refueling a vehicle today.  This patent-pending design is slated to be subjected to testing in the next few years.

It seems like a throwback to the 1960's in a way.  In the late 60's, the nation's four domestic automakers were locked in a battle for horsepower and displacement.  While today the battle is moving to the intensity of electric motors, Chevy has decided that there is still a market for a cast-iron, 10.L V-8 engine.  Our question is why?  What do you think?

With the growing popularity of small and compact crossover SUVs,  the safety of such in a side-impact accident has become even more important.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has updated its side-impact crash test to be more in-line with real world situations.  The results of its first batch of crash tests with 20 small SUVs is sobering.

Stellantis has introduced a new loyalty app for its customers that differs from every other automotive manufacturer in that it rewards users for walking or taking a bus!  Created in collaboration with Miles, an app that rewards its users by amassing miles while using various modes of ground transportation, Stellantis wants customers to earn miles for all their travel, not merely driving.
