Automakers have been offering motorists freebies of one kind or another for years.   From a deferral of your first several car note payments, to free gasoline and maintenance,  freebies have been one of the favorite lures to attract consumers into showrooms.  In the early days of the EV industry, Tesla was the first to offer their early customers "free electricity for life".  While the offers of today are not that generous, a number of EV makers and EV charging industry suppliers are taking a leaf out of the Tesla playbook and offering new owners a bit of free power.  Listen here to learn more.

This is the concept that brought the 2017 New York International Auto Show to a complete halt.  Up to that time, nobody had ever seen an SUV concept quite like the GV80.  Beautiful and stunning from every angle, inside and out, the press couldn't get enough.  The automaker even teased that it might even come equipped with a fuel cell as a prime mover.  While I am still waiting for the fuel cell electric version, I did get to drive the gasoline-powered production version.  Come along with me for the ride.
