Angela Greco is the founder of Days of Summer Garden Design and Days of Summer the band. We’ve been friends for a decade, weaving in and out of each others’ lives in more and less intense and intimate configurations of friendship.
Angela shares about her healing journey, mistakes she’s made, and lessons she’s learned. We talked about:
*wasting compassion on others when she wasn’t offering it to herself
*how her difficulty trusting others and her self-doubt are intertwined and have held her back from the relationships of her dreams
*sexism & The Patriarchy: how patriarchal conditioning reinforces self-doubt, experiencing sexism in her work as a gardener, the underlying beliefs of benevolent sexism and how frustrating it can be to receive, and how systemic trauma complicates our individual healing
*food as medicine: the plants she relates to and why, how mindful food prep and eating has been an important part of re-parenting herself
*how she’s learning to trust her intuition and find stability
