Pb: No meio do calor de dezembro, a pequena cidade de Santos se preparava para o Natal.
En: In the middle of the December heat, the small town of Santos was preparing for Christmas.

Pb: As luzes piscavam timidamente nas ruas, e as lojas enfeitadas acolhiam os últimos clientes em busca de presentes.

Pb: No meio dessa atmosfera festiva, Mateus caminhava em direção ao café de seu pai, que ficava a algumas quadras da praia.
