Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, George Achillea and Billie T as we react to the news that Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi, with Spurs understood to really admire his attitude, tactical quality, and connection with players.
We reflect on that news that De Zerbi had told Spurs last week he wanted to wait until summer, but a lucrative long-term deal has made him open to taking the job now, a five-year contract is understood to be on offer and in the process, De Zerbi will become the third best paid manager in the Premier League behind Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.
We debate whether De Zerbi is genuinely motivated at the challenge that sits before him of keeping Tottenham in the Premier League and whether we feel anymore confident of staying up on the back of a permenant appointment being made.
Finally at Tottenham Hotspur, Johan Lange and Vinai Venkatesham are in the firing line from supporters and their club is the most spectacular example of chronic leadership failings in the Premier League, we discuss whether this final role of the dice from the duo will be their last act as employees of the Club and whether there is any possible case you can make for either to stay on, given the number of poor decisions taken alone in this season.
