Dean Corll was an American serial killer who abducted, raped, tortured and murdered at least 28 teenage boys between 1970 and 1973 in Houston, Texas. It’s particularly disturbing because Dean Corll was helped by 2 teenage boys who he paid $200 each to head hunt victims destined for the torture rack. Never take candy from strangers.

The Corrupted Blood Incident - In this week’s episode we talk about the mad unprecedented event that is Corrupted Blood. This was a virtual Pandemic that hit World of Warcraft hard in 2005. Due to programming oversight, the entire world within the game was consumed by the Corrupted Blood pandemic and millions of players were affected. This in turn got the attention of epidemiologists around the world who were able to use it to inform real world Pandemic scenarios. Now the event is helping build understanding for Covid 19 and how human behaviour is really crucial to staving off and controlling current and future epidemics and pandemics!

This week we take a brief look the horrific events of 9/11 followed by the global hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Whilst the terror attacks were taking place, Bin Laden was at a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan. Over the course of several months, with the help of Taliban fighters, he found his way to Pakistan and eventually to a safe house in Abbottabad, a few hundred meters from a military training academy.
