Boo-Yah! The weekend is here!

Getting out of town tomorrow and heading to the cities for tomorrow's Vikings/Patriots game and hopefully getting back in time on Sunday to hit the opening weekend at Ecker's.

In the news this morning, a woman in Winona is charged with torturing a child, the Chippewa County Highway Department is offering free sandbags for this weekend's impending heavy rainfall, a new person is running for Governor of Wisconsin, a bus driver in Milwaukee got attacked by two people, and a man is charged with a felony in federal court for throwing a sandwich at a border patrol agent.

The Brewers play tonight and try to make it 13 in a row, and George Webb announced announced the details of their free burger giveaway. Jordan Love had a successful procedure on his hand and should be good to go by the start of the regular season.

Elsewhere in sports, WWE referee Charles Robinson got rushed to the hospital after he got bitten by a bat, Rashee Rice's hearing won't happen until late September, and we should find out later what the NCAA is going to do to Michigan for stealing signs.

In sports, the Brewers remain red hot by beating the Pirates again yesterday & triggering the "Free Burgers" promotion at George Webb restaurants in Milwaukee. We looked at the NFL's week 2 preseason schedule, and we talked about a couple of NBA teams that are getting sold, including the Boston Celtics & the Portland Trailblazers.

And speaking of teams getting sold, it looks like the Minnesota Twins are no longer up for sale! Elsewhere in sports, NASCAR has decided NOT to limit celebrations in victory lane after the Connor Zilisch injury last weekend, and speaking of injuries….apparently Matthew Stafford is battling against his bad back with an "Ammortal Chamber".

We had a new "Karen of the Day" who was very upset about people using a public beach, and we also ran some audio from our recent interview with Shaun McCoy of "Blood Ocean" and formerly "Bobaflex". His new band has some new music coming out this week and you can hear our interview and the new tune right here.

Cool story about a cancer survivor who paid it forward by purchasing parking passes for other people who are battling the deadly disease. A woman who works as a custodian at Texas A&M while raising her four children just got four different college degrees, and a kid who really wanted to play baseball got a very special kidney transplant.

We've known Shaun McCoy for a number of years...mostly from his time spend touring with Bobaflex. 

They played many shows here in town and in the area, and several years ago, he stepped away from the band to be a full-time dad. 

There's been a few Bobaflex shows every year since to try and satisfy the masses, and now that his kid is older, he's dipping back into the world of music with a new venture named Blood Ocean.

We got on the phone with Shaun yesterday to talk about the band, their new single "I Like To Boom Boom", a possible tour, and we also discussed some of his dork tendencies.
