Isaiah 52:13-15 

The visage of the Servant, God's Servant was marred more than any other man, and His form more than the sons of men. How deep does this go? and what is it that many people were so astonished at when gazing upon this One who shall be exalted, extolled and be very high?

John 5:31-47

Jesus, knowing His testimony of Himself will not be enough in the courts of Jewish minds, gives them the fourfold witness outside of Himself. John the Baptist. The works He came to finish and the works He does amongst them. The witness of His own Father, and the Witness of the Word.

After showing previously that these scriptures in Isaiah 52:13-15 regarding 'My Servant' are concerning the Messiah to come and which is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, we go on to look into how the Messiah, the Christ, the Son of God, the second person the blessed Trinity, can not only be God's servant but as a propitiation, a ransom for many!

Isaiah 52:13-15

God speaking through the prophet Isaiah speaks of 'My Servant.' Most Christians would identify this Servant as none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. And they would be right. However, the context never gives a name for this Servant, so how can we be sure this is indeed speaking of Jesus, especially to the Jewish people who interpret this as meaning so many other prophets but not Jesus? We need to be able to show in Scripture how, and why we know this speak of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."  Such a beautiful passage of scripture. One of such wonder and assurance to those who hear Christ's word, and believes in the one who sent Him. This person 'HAS' passed from death to life, and 'HAS' everlasting life now! Do you???
