These days everyone seems to be looking for a quick fix to lift their mood or give them more energy.  The sad thing is that way too often people search out quick fixes that can not be sustained or are even dangerous. I.E. Drugs.  
In this episode, Merrill and Linda go on location in their gym at Rock Solid Families to show and discuss one of the best antidepressants available to nearly all of us - EXERCISE!  
People have known that exercise is essential to good health for many years, but in the past decade researchers have found that not only does exercise make you stronger and help you maintain a proper weight, it also acts as a fantastic ANTIDEPRESSANT!  
Research proves that exercise significantly changes our brain and body chemistry to increase vital hormones such as dopamine, serotonin, testosterone, and adrenaline, just to name a few.  The net result is our minds and body feeling and functioning better.  
During the show, Merrill, a personal trainer, discusses some of the essential factors to consider when working out in order to improve your fitness and mental well-being, but also to help you stay motivated and injury free.  
As we age, things like mobility and stability can not be taken for granted.  We must practice motion and integrate various levels of stress on the body in order for the body to adapt and respond.  The old phrase: "If you don't use it, you lose it", is absolutely true when it comes to the healthy functioning of our bodies.
