Ian MacKaye is a widely known American musician, whose music (specifically his song, Straight Edge), played a highly influential role in the early 1980’s Punk Rock and Hardcore scene.
He is known for the bands Minor Threat, The Teen Idles, and later down the road a band more in the alternative mainstream, Fugazi. He is also Co-Founder of Dischord Records located in Washington DC.Nora and Ian, (Minor Threat is one of Nora’s fav bands growing up) sit down for an entertaining phone discussion on:
