Last week we discussed how the church is one family, a community united around a relationship with Jesus! This week we talk about how in that family, each person has a role to play. When we each serve in our capacity, the church is capable of changing the world. When we do not, it becomes stagnant.

Once we say yes to God, we get a wonderful gift: being called into the family of God. This family is full of formally lost and broken people whom Jesus calls to be one community. This community is a place of support and love - although it does take work because the people in it are human!

God calls all people. Any who say yes are adopted into the family of God! This is a radical gift and it begins a radical change where we become new people in Jesus Christ. This is a life long process that only begins when we say yes to God.

Our response to God's love and adoption of us into the family of God is to Praise God through worship, and through the way we live our lives.

If we follow Jesus should we expect material wealth? Not necessarily - God will provide and we are blessed for following Jesus, but that does mean we will have everything we want or an easy life. For some, we may even experience poverty, we will have blessings and richness in other areas of our life!
