 Ah the season of shipping. Boxes tossed right and left, all over the neighborhood. As a new tradition of stealing boxes off porches seems to become more and more prevalent I have to wonder how many of these thefts were inspired by seeing it happen on the so called news. Lame stream media does it all the time. Nobody ever heard of smoking pot pourri before the clown circus decided to tell all the addled headed of a "cheap" high. Back to shipping, I sent a package to my sister. Many packages were sent by me on the same day. I have tracking numbers on each. All have arrived at their destination except for the fore mentioned sister package. I tracked it to her neighborhood. Then instead of getting delivered it did a u turn and headed to Cleveland Ohio. I just received word it is now in North Houston. the map location also included a photo of where it was delivered. It's a pic of some construction pipes stacked next to a road side.   Grinch department part one. In keeping with the Christmas season I had decorated my front yard with lights for the season. With a lack of snow on the Gulf coast, most folks who celebrate the season put up elaborate displays. Nothing that fancy here but I had trimmed the hedges with lights and had a handful of laser lights dancing on the house front.  I got up the next morning and was sipping on a cup of coffee looking out my front window. Then it clicked on in my head that something looked off. It took me less than a second to realize what was up I hurried out the front door to verify my suspicions.  Some scum bag had stolen my lights. Not all, they left behind the old lights and took just the LED and the lasers. Why I was targeted I don't know. Others on my block have similar lights. If you can't afford lights and you like these, in the spirit of the season of giving I would let you have them is what I have to say about it. Unless they are such that stealing is more appealing.   Somebody should tell the guy who is going to be president that the proper way to dispose of an American flag is to burn it. Actually incinerate is the word used. plus folded neatly and say the pledge as it is lowered into the flame. So if you see some nutbar burning a flag thank him for disposing of it properly. Then collect the ashes and dispose of them, oh and toss in a pledge. We have bigger problems then a distraction concerning a first amendment right. Freedom of speech bitches!  I don't trust the electoral college.The suits tell us Americans to get out and vote. Remember 16 years ago the one with the most votes didn't win the election after they were all tallied. I wouldn't be surprised to see the person with the most votes to have victory snatched away by the secret society known as the Electoral college. Unfortunately I have a bad feeling about this election. That feeling was around when Nixon won, and again when Carter won. So it would be shocking to have to go through four years with mister grab crotches but nothing I haven't experienced before. An Amazing thing has Happened. Something I have waited for my entire life. The Loveable Chicago Cubs have won the National League Pennant for the first time in 71 years. I have given little thought to the World Series I was so focused on the pennant. For those wondering back in the 19th century when baseball began, it was actually a large pennant flag. So even though it involves a trophy today (which I had never seen before) originally it involved a flag also. Many times you have seen the flags at Wrigley with 1908 on it. That's a great example.
