Starting with a discussion of how this franchise first came to be widely known outside of Europe, we discuss the games that popularized the books (most of which were not translated into English until after the games came out), and the books that are finally starting to get adapted to television. It's never too late to talk about ghosts! This episode was stolen by a mischievous ghoul that only agreed to release it if we talked about local ghost stories!

We have a rather eclectic selection of media to discuss in this episode! In this Reading/Watching/Playing episode, Samantha talks about her experiences exploring The Oldest House in the new game from Remedy, Control. James and Samantha explain the difference between energy vampires and emotional vampires in What We Do In The Shadows. Nate finally gets around to reading one of those sci-fi books he sees every time he goes to the bookstore: Hyperion.

Hey folks! We're back from our summer break! What better way to kick off the new season of shows than reflecting on our past? In this episode, James and Nate discuss life after Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones may be the last "water cooler" TV show. Join us as we talk about the ways that our viewing habits--and the technology around those habits--have changed since Game of Thrones started 8 years ago.

In this episode, James makes his triumphant return to the podcast to discuss a longtime passion of his: MMOs! Nate and James spend a solid hour (and then some) discussing their personal history with MMOs, how these games have helped them stay connected with family or develop new, long-lasting connections with new friends! From EverQuest to World of WarCraft, from Guild Wars to The Old Republic to Final Fantasy XIV--with a few short detours along the way--this episode is a celebration of great memories from our time playing MMOs.
There is a brief mention of the current City of Heroes kerfuffle. Nate tells a great story about Eve Online. James tells the story of how he ragequit EverQuest.
Also, Nate learns about Goldshire. He completely forgets to share his own story of debauchery from Guild Wars 1.
For those looking to try an MMO, James recommends Final Fantasy XIV. Nate recommends Guild Wars 2.

Higher, further, faster! As we get ready for Avengers: Endgame this week, let's take a moment to talk about the excellent Captain Marvel. Jay, Samantha, and Nate all thought it was great! From there, the conversation turns to a more broad discussion of the MCU as a whole and how we got here. It's been a long road. Let's see where it ends. As always, Rocket Punch Radio will be right there with you to discuss it!

This episode apparently fell through a hole in time and was lost for a while! It's okay, though. We've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow and managed to get it up and running! Samantha, Jay, and Nate discuss what they've been reading, watching, and playing lately. Samantha has early impressions of The Umbrella Academy (look for an episode where we talk about the whole show soon!) and talks about a zombie survival game called 7 Days to Die. Jay gives a spoiler-free review of Glass, and a somewhat spoilery review of Batman: Arkham Knight. Nate recommends The Broken Earth Trilogy of books and he finally goes on his rant about the story mode of Star Wars: Battlefront 2!
