It can be so easy to get swept up in the day to day drama of our lives and forget all about what we really came here to do and the things that are most important to us. While I have a deep appreciation for journaling and the way it can help us process our emotions and get our thoughts in order, I am totally blown away by scripting's uncanny ability to really make things happen the way I want them to. I think it's incredibly important that we honor our intuitions and where they would have us go and the only way to do this is by exploring our inner world and finding what feels good to us.
You are the ONLY person who has the vision for your life. Friends and family can support you (or not) but these people always have some kind of opinion about our dreams that can sometimes make us question the validity or feasibility of our most precious aims. I ask you to keep your dreams close and not share them with anyone who might attempt to dissuade you from pursuing them or question your ability to make them happen. (Turns out this is most everyone.) Yes, it feels good to share our dreams with others but you have to be very careful to avoid the trap of thinking you will receive the support and guidance you want when you open up and share your dreams with someone else.
Here is the exact method I have used (and continue) to use scripting as a bridge between where I am and where I really want to be. The reason we do this right before bed at night is because in our dream state we experience what it's like to create from feeling. In our dreams things happen or dissolve instantly based on our feelings about them. The moments right before falling asleep are so important because we spend all our night dreaming about whatever it is we fall asleep feeling or thinking about. This is how our subconscious mind processes the previous day's events. Your subconscious mind then stores this information so it doesn't continue to take up bandwidth in your conscious mind so you can focus on whatever happens the next day. Of course when the subconscious mind stores something it's not exactly forgotten. You continue to act and feel from the feeling state of the things that have happened in your life before, you're just not consciously aware of it.
Right before going to bed at night I want you to take out your journal and your favorite pen.
Start by writing down something that happened that day. But instead of getting into the nitty gritty of how it went, instead write it out the way you wanted it to go!
Only use present tense. You are writing from the perspective of this having already happened. It's not some future dream, it's a present fact. Use scripting to explore what these experiences will feel like when they happen.
Get creative. Visualize the scene in your mind of this desired state and use all 5 of your senses to experience it as your present reality.
Use color. Small details like seeing the color of the grass outside your new home help to imprint this scene in your mind.
