Technical Director: Earl Green Produced by Roddenberry Entertainment | All Rights ReservedThe question in 1986 was how to make a Star Trek show for the next generation that still had familiar concepts and characters. Producer Bob Justman sent a flurry of memos with some ideas that stuck and others that didn't see the light of day. Larry Nemecek and John Champion discuss those creative decisions and how they affect the modern Trek landscape on this week's episode of The Trek Files.

Technical Director: Earl Green Produced by Roddenberry Entertainment | All Rights ReservedLate last year, Celestis Memorial Spaceflights announced their next flight. Dubbed the Enterprise mission, it will see the remains of several Star Trek luminaries journeying into the final frontier on the Vulcan Centaur rocket. Since the announcement, I've had the pleasure of interviewing friends and family members of the late, great cast and crew who will be blasting off next month. Throughout the months of April and May, I'll be releasing those interviews. Wende Doohan got hitched to Star Trek's first engineer, James Doohan (Scotty in The Original Series), in 1974 and they remained married right up until his death in 2005. The Enterprise mission is only the latest in a string of memorial space flights in which Doohan's ashes have been included. Wende joined me to discuss her husband's life and legacy.
The Enterprise mission is looking to blast off in June or July, and you'll be able to stream it live. For the latest on the flight's schedule, head over to Celests' website.
