When the first four months of 1976 saw the brutal murders of five women, San Mateo county was terrified. Even more sinister was the striking resemblance the girls shared, some even looking like they could be pictures of the same person.   With each murder, the police were more desperate for answers but a break in the case never came. The unsolved murders dominated local papers as police put all available resources into the investigations. If they could just get the one break they needed, they could solve the case and bring justice to the victims and their families.
