Fishing guide Don Anderson tries to play hooky, so co-host Timothy Gikas surprise visits Don while fishing by taking today's show out of doors and recording from the banks of the Guadalupe River.  Be entertained as our show hosts sit on the bank in the grass and talk about fly fishing in the Texas Hill Country and everyday-life issues fly fishers encounter when perfecting the art of fly fishing. The subject for this week's podcast interview is Fly Fishing International's Women Connect program.  Women comprise the fasting growing segment of fly fishing today. Our interview guest today is FFI's Women Connect leader Patty Lueken.    Listen as our guest host examines the expansive growth of women in fly fishing.   You will not want to miss this engaging episode of Roll Cast, where Patty Lueken describes fly fishing from a woman's point of view and some of the differences to consider when providing fishing programs for men and women.   Don Anderson reviews a book on Carp Fishing.  More importantly, listeners will discover how fly fishing  (and podcasts) is often just minutes away in your neighborhood.

In this inaugural episode of Roll Cast, co-hosts  Don Anderson and Timothy Gikas set the stage for a light-hearted and sometimes not-so-serious podcast serious about the serious sport of fly fishing in Texas and the surrounding Gulf Coast region.  By listening to Roll Cast you will enjoy interesting interviews and opinions about fly fishing from people who fish almost every day and who help shape the sport of fly fishing every day.  Also, listen as our hosts attempt to answer listeners' questions in common sense terms.  We think you will find Roll Cast immensely entertaining and informative.
