Face Front, True Believers! Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit and Diabolu Frank have been podcasting for one week shy of a year, and with other plans for next week, we decided to devote nearly an hour to fellating ourselves like the ribless circle jerks we are on the show's "secret origins" and such, plus we talk Comicpalooza 2015. Then, it's been many, many moons since our last substantial Marvel Mail Bag dive on this podcast, so we devote the better part of two hours in dialogue with you, our beloved listeners. And by "dialogue" we mean shenanigans like Frank going on an epic length rant against Superman based on Kyle Benning inoffensively offering a few modest corrections to our off-the-cuff talk about '90s Man of Steel stories. Frank isn't on meds, but that one is Exhibit "A." Excelsior!
As you can tell, we love a fierce conversation and a pretty picture, so why don't you socialize with us, either by leaving a comment on this page or...
Interview conducted with the beloved comic book writer and novelist Peter David at The Texas International Comic Convention, Houston’s Comicpalooza, on May 24, 2015. The interview has been edited for time, content, consistency and quality.
Face Front, True Believers! This episode, Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit, and a hoarse Diabolu Frank offer extensive feature-length commentary on their theatrical experience at the sequel to one of, if not the, greatest super hero movies of all time: Avengers Assemble! Excelsior!
Face Front, True Believers! The crossover of the season, Super-Blog Team Up #6, draws in your favorite Marvel Comics Podcast that's recorded live in Houston by three dudes! The trio return from that rotten Spring Special full force with a cracking good look around Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron via top 10 lists and general discussions but with limited spoilers (which we'll save for next week's exhaustive no-holds-barred examination of the film!) Mac gives his 10 best Avengers, Frank his 10 worst, and Joe Fixit ranks the cinematic Avengers with full knowledge to the hit of the summer's influence! Excelsior!
Face Front, True Believers! It's been four months since #MarvelSHP Annual 2014, so we felt like it was time to push out another clip show as a seasonal event! However, due to another recording error where Frank's stupid laptop with the dicey USB port defaulted to a crumby internal microphone, the vast majority of this extra-length, minimally-edited show will be new material! To listeners, anyway! Well, as new as our continuing to talk noise about comic book media adaptations and other nerd ephemera gets! Besides roughly an hour of Mister Joe Fixit taking the fore (for once,) we also dug into the vaults for a best of compilation of episode three-- SDCC 2014 FYI and episode sixteen-- NYCC 2014 FYI, scavenging whatever pearls we could find from our coverage of comic conventions from last year (including previously deleted tangents!) Also, before and after candor for episode 21-- Howard the Duck (1986)! While Moon Knight is barely a subject this episode, he's an excellent figurehead for the show's dissociative identity disorder, as we spend most of the second hour in the role of The DC Super Heroes Podcast! Cast a nostalgic ear toward the days when our equipment was garbage and there was tons of audible artifacts (Ooo thunderstorms! Dogs! TV in the background!) It's even more strictly amateur hour than usual, so much so that we can't even be trusted to keep it at an hour!
Face Front, True Believers! This episode, Iron Man faces the fantastic threat of: "Hawkeye, the Marksman!" From Clint Barton's origin story in Tales of Suspense #57 (September 1964) through his reappearances in #60 & #64, you are there! And by there we mean you'll hear Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit and Diabolu Frank talk about these comics, 1966 cartoon adaptation, and their general views of the villain-turned-hero! Also featuring Hawkeye's Russian spy benefactor Black Widow, who soon switched from slinky dresses to battle togs as Clint's tech-happy costumed partner in crime... and love!

Face Front, True Believers! Our already edited and nigh-publishable Tuesday episode of #MarvelSHP was lost in the Negative Zone, so Illegal Machine & Diabolu Frank had to whip up an entirely new episode that night so that you wouldn't have to do without this week! Can you center an hour-plus long podcast on a t-shirt? You be the judge as a heavily reworked version of Mike Zeck (and now mucho company) art from Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1 unveils an Illuminati-like agenda! What do the incorporation of Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the oeuvre of Quentin Tarantino have in common? How could this impact the Netflix Marvel shows and The Punisher? Is it possible we Homo-Superior-Phobes could have positive things to say about FOX's Deadpool movie? Also, how awesome is Captain America? #JanetVanCrime! The Mandarin! All Your Mails Are Belong To Us! Excelsior!

Face Front, True Believer! This week we introduce a new feature on the podcast, Wild Agents of Marvel, named after the 1990s fan club from the House of Ideas! Here we spotlight the stories of our friends and listeners! Regular commentator and occasional guest Count Drunkula tells how he got into comics, debates the vice/virtues of Hank Pym, and generally gabs with our own Diabolu Frank! Then, Illegal Machine returns to tackle the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag!
This week Frank and Mac take a look at Iron Man Vol 1 issues 219-221, the first appearance of The Ghost, by legendary creative team David Michelinie and Bob Layton (and layouts by Mark Bright).
