Rolled Spine Podcasts

Face Front, True Believers! After a brief hiatus to promote our other podcasts, #MarvelSHP is back with a super obscure anti-heroine from Marvel Magazine Group's March 1981 cover-dated black and white periodical Bizarre Adventures #25! Just a few months before introducing their popular creation Rogue, Chris Claremont & Michael Golden (joined by superstar inker Terry Austin) offered the Depression era Scottish pseudo-sorceress Lady Megan Daemon to an uncaring world that allowed her to pass into oblivion after her single appearance! Plus, the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag!

Conversation about the Feld Entertainment Marvel Comics stage show currently touring North America, then a lot of movie talk, some comics chat, a whole lot of listener mailbag patter, and basically all told an hour-and-a-half of bull.

Face Front, True Believers! This week we tackle one of Marvel's most fabulously famous femme fatales, Soviet super spy Madame Natasha Romanoff! We specifically cover Tales of Suspense #52-53 (April-May 1964), introducing the gorgeous new menace of... The Black Widow! Also, we offer general thoughts on the character from Mac, Frank, Fixit, and even Pekita for good measure! Original Crimson Dynamo Anton Vanko also gets some attention!

The Irredeemable Shag insists on talking at Frank about Alpha Flight and other, presumably better, Marvel comics. Meanwhile, Mac sorts through the Mail Bag and Joe Fixit wisely walks away from this debacle.

As part of a Super Blog Team-Up crossover, the boys look at The Shadowline Saga, four interconnected titles published in 1988 under the Epic Comics imprint that are being folded into the Marvel Universe proper as part of Secret Wars 2015.

We talk the debut appearances of the first African super-hero, T'Challa, King of the Wakandas!

The final extended look at the Marvel Studios and Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment announced movie slates of 2014 extending into the twenty-twenties.
