Happy belated birth week to Popcorn Chats cohost, Katie! To celebrate this special week, Katie got to pick the topic and with her love of television, it was only fitting to do an episode all about the best TV shows of all time. Katie shares her love of adult cartoons, while Michae explains her recent turn away from network television. Katie and Michae discover they have one overlapping show on their lists and chat about why that show made both of their top five. As Michae talks about her number one show, Katie shares a story from middle school that exposes Michae’s dramatic past (and current) self...tragic. And also, if you thought Michae could get through an episode without mentioning Adam Driver, think again! Thank you all so much for tuning in this week to celebrate Katie’s belated birthday! Tune in next week for another scary movie episode. Katie and Michae talk about the movie that still haunts them to this day.

Happy Popcorn Chats Day everyone! This week, Katie and Michae talk about Jordan Peele’s movie, “Us”. It was one of their favorite films of 2019 and they couldn’t wait to break it down! They talk about the mind of Jordan Peele and question if “Us” is really a horror film. They discuss their love for Lupita Nyong'o and why children in scary movies are actually the worst. The girlies also talk “Get Out” vs. “Us”, their favorite moments, and ponder how much symbolism is too much symbolism? Thank you all so much for listening and let us know what films/tv shows you’d like to hear us chat about next!

Thank you for listening to Popcorn Chats! This week, Katie and Michae talk about their favorite film music. They break down their top three favorite muscials, scores, soundtracks, and songs made for films. Katie discusses the love she has had for musicals since she was a little girlie, while Michae discusses her frequent lack of interest in the musical music outside the film. Some of their favorite movie music may be viewed as less sophisticated, while others will be recognized as Hollywood treasures and classics in composition. Both Katie and Michae agree on the importance that music plays in the movies they love. Hear them express their appreciation for the sound of the movies this week!

It’s a great day to listen to Popcorn Chats! This week, Katie and Michae discuss the loooooong running medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy. They get off to an interesting start with first some news that rocked their world shortly before recording this episode, as well as a brief detour into their vegetarian diets before resuming their chat about Shonda Rhimes' longest running show. They discuss how streaming and social media play a huge part in the success of the show, why Grey’s reigns supreme over other medical dramas, and their distrust of medical professionals as a result of the show. They also talk about why they thought the show went downhill after season 11, Michae’s unpopular opinion on George O’Malley, and Katie’s frustration with April Kepner. They round out the discussion with their favorite moments and episodes throughout the entire series, and they may or may not have jinxed Alex Karev's departure. Since recording the episode of Popcorn Chats, it has been announced that Justin Chambers has left the show...oops! Tune in next week for another fun-filled hour with Katie and Michae!

This week, Katie and Michae share their five favorite movies and why, starting with number five and counting down all the way to their number one favorite movie ever made! Critics and film snobs may deem some of their choices to be low art however, in the opinions of Katie and Michae, these films hold up to be some of the greatest ever to hit the big screen. Of course, it's hardly an episode of Popcorn Chats if the the two don't engage in their typical silly banter. In this episode, they once again go back and forth about the possibility of whether or not Adam Driver is, in fact, attractive. Katie also struggles to decide what her number one favorite movie really is. Stick around until the end of the episode to see if she can make a decision.

This Monday, Katie and Michae discuss arguably the most controversial film of Jennifer Lawerence’s career to date, “mother!”. They take a stab at breaking down all of the symbolism, Jennifer’s performance, and what they think writer and director, Darren Aronofsky, was trying to say with this film. If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to check that out first and come back to (try to) get some clarity, that no doubt you will be looking for after watching! As Katie said, this film won't be everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s something to be said about a film sticking in your mind, years after watching it!
