Good day my friends, today we have a great discussion and get to know Wil Loushin a BJJ Black Belt and retired Marine. Wil has probably more reasons than anyone to make excuses & not train, I mean the homie only has one lung and I don't know about you but I need all my oxygen when I am rolling. I have had a million problems with anchor so I am just going to publish this and hopefully get another sit down on IG live with will because this interview was fire.
Now don't let the Instagram tag fool you, she can be a bit-h however she is also one of the most caring and giving people I have talked to in a long while. I would guess this is because she has suffered more pain than most people will ever know, and we learn a little bit about that in the next hour in getting to know her story. It goes from crazy funny to WOW I can not believe you went through that, and back to hilarious :) so much so that we already planned a follow up episode and we will get the best questions from her followers and maybe a couple of mine LOL. So tune in and have a laugh.
We are going to talk to 6 different people and maybe get 6 different perspectives on breaking down David Goggin's, we will listing to a clip of David talking about that Dog mentality, and then get other martial artists take on it. Well speak to Anthony Franco (Former All Marine Boxer and professional boxer), BJJ Black Belt, Chad Lewis, BJJ Black Sal Spinelli, BJJ Black Belt Ana Calzada, BJJ Black Belt Oscar Magana, and BJJ Black Belt & Retired U.S. Marine John Romero
Today we will get to know my friend Carlos, and learn his story of just how he lost his legs in Afghanistan and why he started and still trains BJJ. It is a graphic story of Carlos being wounded in Afghanistan, if you have a weak stomach this might not be for you today. I am amazed and inspired by this man every time I see him and get to train with him on the mats. When ever you start to feel your injuries getting to you just know there are people out there like Carlos training with no legs...he makes no excuses!
Today on Rolling with Master Gunz we will talk with our new friend Amber about her Marine Corps experience and about her decision to start training Jiu-Jitsu. We will get into some of the scary topics such as sexual harassment, equal pay for female BJJ competitor's and of course being its two Marine veterans there is of course the creep questions coming in LOL. Lets get to know Amber :)
Today we follow up with my man Axel, and talk to him about his amazing performance on 7 Feb, and we talk about his upcoming scrap on the 14th of March where he will again be fighting for Submission Hunter Pro 67 and looking for another big performance. Love talking to this young man as it is so refreshing to hear such a great mindset and perspective from a 14 year old young man!
Good day people, today we will get to know GySgt Paul Woo, who is currently stationed in 29 Palms California and I gotta say up front I so feel for your brother because 29 Palms is not a fund place to be stationed. However for you young Marines the Gunny is making this a little better out in the dirt, being he is training Marines for free now how can you beat that! Lets get to know the Gunny, how he came into BJJ and why he still pushed so hard for his Marines, and why we both have a lot of great things to say about our female Marines!
Today we will be talking to Jason South out of my old hood, well at least he has a fight coming up out of my old hood lol. Hell be coming out of retirement for one last scrap on 27 Feb 2021 with the Fierce fighting championships organization in West Valley city at the Maverick center! We get to know Jason, how he started BJJ and why he is taking one last fight in the cage! We as well get to know about his training facility there of Unified BJJ in South Jordan Utah, which looks and sounds like a great training facility and I can not wait to pay them a visit!
Today we get to know Nicholas Rahn, who has started the warriors next adventure for our veterans'. He is an air force vet who has been deployed to many places most air force folks will never see, no offense of course to my air force people. He has witnessed some truly terrible things to include the ugly topic of suicide and depression and yes we will talk about those things today. Nich wants to change the way we talk to each other, in that he means we need to allow room to be nice to each other. To often we are beating our chest about how great we are, or how what we have accomplished and we miss the signs that are screaming in our face, that our brothers and sisters are hurting as we need to STFU and listen sometimes. It is a long one, so I would suggest breaking it up or save it for a road trip ;) Thanks for listening people and I hope you all do get to link up with the warriors next adventure on their pending trip, they will be in Cali in :)
