Love comes in many forms but most wouldn't think of witches when asked. In the 19th century, we follow Nevena as she experiences life in many different genders and ages as a mute shapeshifter. A film that is both beautiful, sad, and tranquil all at the same time is a unique take on a witch story. The main issues in this are one, this is not a horror film even though it is billed as such, and two, this is a slow film that if you are expecting something it is not this film. Despite this, it is well-made and interesting. Just remember, no playthings.

What follows is a film that strives in uncomfortability and uses a found footage style to elevate it. This may not be your traditional found footage film but it definitely is a gem from earlier Netflix. All we know is, "death is coming for us all, but we don't wanna die".

On one hand, when you see all of it, you can take in the work and craftsmanship of it but on the other, it can be scarier to create it inside your own head. Nope, I didn't think so but Billy sure did as he tried to uncover what they were up to. A film that definitely feels trapped in its time with a choppy plot and some scenes that feel like they go nowhere. On the other hand, it has some great body horror as well as practical effects to pull you back in. Love it or hate it, you'll make an excellent contribution to society

Welcome to the first film for Spooky Scary Season and with that, we tackle a terrifying subject, families. Char is a teenager who takes care of her grandma and depressed mother, when her mother suddenly disappears for 24 hours something doesn't seem right about her. A slow burn with a payoff feeling like something A24 would produce. This film uses a wide range of cinematography, acting, and storytelling to bring an old fable new life. We might need to ask where it's been all this time, but it can't tell us...yet.
