So if we have been forgiven of all of our sins and if God gets glory for every sin that is forgiven, should we continue to go on sinning? Paul says the answer is “No! Absolutely not!” Christ came so that we might have a new life, a resurrected life, in which we who were once dead have been raised to new life in Jesus. Christ was raised so we could be raised. Likewise, Christ took our sin to the grave so we might also put to death the former life of sin. Our bodies and our minds should not be surrendered to sin as weapons of unrighteousness, but to should instead be surrendered to God to be used as weapons of righteousness. We are no longer slaves to sin. We have been set free from sin so that we might instead be slaves of God Almighty.
