This week we have long time sports radio broadcaster and personality Derek Schultz on the Romanus Records Pod. He is a local to Indianapolis so this episode may be a little more centralized for Indiana listeners, however his rise through the ranks of sports broadcasting has so many parallels to the rise of so many independent artists, bands, labels, & more and we are excited to tell his story as we look to bring you a variety of guests. From making steaks at outback to get his first crack in the business, to hosting a weekly Indianapolis Colts show with Reggie Wayne. To see all Romanus Records news, releases, & more check out our site below.

Welcome to episode three of the Romanus Records podcast. This week I had the privilege to talking to one of my personal heroes in the vinyl industry, Heath Lawrence from Wax mage records. Heath runs the highly custom, highly tasty, high in the sky best press operated wax making custom empire called Wax Mage Records out of the Gotta Groove Record plant in Cleveland Ohio. We discuss the growth of WaxMage records, how it came to be, experiences pressing super weird items into wax, and Heath’s Pink Ford Probe. I can’t get enough of this car.

Welcome to episode two of the Romanus Records podcast. This week I had the great pleasure of chatting with some of not only my favorite people in music but one of my favorite touring up and coming bands in LUNG this week. LUNG is a two piece electric chello and drums duo that plays something to the extent of heavy garage rock. It’s truly innovative and good luck pinning this band down to a specific genre. We chat with Kate about here time in college as a Opera major, Daisy’s time in Foxy Shazam, touring, art, and another case of bizarre high school mascots.

We just dropped a limited number of beer filled records from Romanus Fest filled with upland beer to which man took advantage of this savings program. Help out the long term sustainability of our label and yourself if you looking to buy some spicy Romanus wax.

Episode 3 drops next week with Heath Lawrence of Wax Mage Recods. Heath is in no certain terms likely the most innovative press operator in the United States with her insane Wax Mage customs made at Gotta Groove Records in Ohio. We will chat up Heath about Wax Mages development, crazy wax stories, and why she owns a metallic pink ford probe.
