RomCompanion

The last week of Tom Hanks month is gonna be a BIG one - literally. For our longest episode to date, we're watching Penny Marshall's iconic 1988 classic, Big. There's a lot to discuss; like Josh Baskin, this movie doesn't age well...

We're starting the second half of Tom Hanks month and this week's RomCom is a real crowd pleaser. Fall in love with everyone's favorite Krakozhian refugee in 2004's The Terminal.

It's the third week of Tom Hanks month and we've got a great RomCom for you - just don't get it wet! It's 1984's Splash, and it's the movie that made Tom Hanks the star he is today!

It's been a heavy week for America. But that means it is more important than ever to open our eyes, ears, and hearts to the atrocities of police brutality and what role we play in systemic racism. If you are able to, please donate to Black Lives Matter, Campaign Zero, or the ACLU.

If you need a break or an escape for 2 hours, then check out 1998's You've Got Mail. Be sure to listen to last week's episode on Sleepless in Seattle because these two RomComs are more related than you think...

This episode marks the beginning of "Tom Hanks Month." We are kicking it off with the 1993 RomCom classic, Sleepless in Seattle. Nineties women like Meg Ryan couldn't get enough of Tommy's voice and that's going to keep us up all night!

In an odd twist of fate, 2003's View From The Top very well may be the most progressive and forward-thinking episode to date... and it features two flight attendants fighting over Mark Ruffalo. Still, its Gwyneth Paltrow's performance that elevates this RomCom above the clouds!

Some RomComs make us laugh. Some RomComs make us cry. I don't know which 2009's Ghosts of Girlfriends Past was supposed to be, but it made me do both. Listen to David cry no less than half a dozen times as we watch Matthew McConaughey's last RomCom.

Happy Mother's Day! To celebrate this day, David finally gets to talk about one of the great Jennifer Lopez RomComs. Too bad J-Fo isn't as big of a fan as J-Lo in 2005's Monster-in-Law.

Do you ever find yourself thinking about the one that got away? After rewatching 2001's Serendipity, that's all David can think about. And he's not alone; John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale, and Jeremy Piven feel just as unlucky.
