Changing your location, your movement and your sensory input are great ways to be out of your usual, comfortable zone, and can be greatly beneficial for you.

Even just changing the route you normally take to get somewhere can help improve your mood, focus and creativity.

Moving out of your comfort zone isn't just about the work and skills you're doing, it's your physical location too.

Fallen out of the habit of doing something? Been meaning to start something you've just not gotten around to yet?

The past is not the future, nor do you have to wait for a special day to (re)start doing something - resolutions don't need to wait for January 1st; instead, tomorrow can be Day One.

Whether in relationships, in business, in the creative arts, in simply indulging a passion or hobby, don't focus on being the best - and don't let fear of not being the best stop you from starting - instead focus on being someone's favourite.

And the great thing is, your uniqueness, your unique personality, viewpoint and experience is precisely what will make you somebody's favourite.

Where does new art come from? What drives creativity? Is it the "muse" or is it just hard graft?

That was the question put to me about my new album, and my music in general, and this episode seeks to answer it.

Unless it affects someone's health (including your own!) nothing is permanent, it can be changed over time. So take action on your goal, no matter what that is. Even if the results aren't perfect at first, you can always course correct as you go. But you must take action first, or you've no course to correct.

Owning your own corner of the online world, where you can share your thoughts, experience and creativity, gives you both a way for personal growth and the possibility to increase your value in "the marketplace", whatever marketplace means to you.

That's why I think everyone should have their own website!
