"talk is cheap", "actions are louder than words", "a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step"; we all know the old adages, and for good reason - they are right!

Today's episode is a little reminder on them all.

I almost didn't get to today's podcast; I've been feeling really drained today. But thanks to wonderful, supportive words of encouragement from you guys I realised it's better to persevere and show up and build the habit of action, even if the results aren't optimum, than it is to do nothing and get no results at all.

I'm guilty of collecting "tools" (software, profiles on social media platforms, etc) then trying to find a "job" for them, a use case that justifies my resource investment into them.

Really, though, a tool should be acquired to fulfill the need of an existing challenge, not the other way round.

Working on my new album today, I remembered a frustrating truth of life; when we move out of our comfort zone, we can expect to feel like we're going backwards. At least, initially.

But persevere and the rewards will be growth...so you can do it all over again!

When things don't work properly, or they change away from what's expected, it's easy to get frustrated and annoyed with them.

Because we take them for granted.

But we've never had it so good and so easy!

It's very easy to be "busy". But busyness in and of itself is not the goal. The goal is to actually be productive and work towards the thing that you're trying to achieve. And that is something we very often forget!

An interesting incident last night reminded me of a good way to be, that creates friends out of foes.

Your actions are like drops of water on a still pond; they ripple out far and wide, and you never know how and who they're going to affect. So best to make them as good and positive as you can!
