Anyone who thought you could write-off Donald Trump needs to give it another thought.

Hamline University Political Science and Constitutional Law Professor David Schultz says Trump's appearance at last week's Conservative Political Action Coalition gathering made it abundantly clear, Trump controls the conservative base in the United States. Schultz says Trump's message was almost messianic.

But Trump's grip on the GOP doesn't seem to faze Florida Governor Ron De Santis, who appears determined to challenge Trump for the Republican Party nomination. De Santis's "anti-woke" campaign is the second coming of Trump's MAGA battle cry.
