The Ronman Media Crew dives into the sequel to the 2018 hit, The quiet place. They then set out in search of any other survivors, armed with their newfound knowledge.
The Ronman Media team takes a look at "Kid Detective". A 2020 film about a once-famous child detective, now 31, who continues to solve trivial mysteries in between hangovers and bouts of self-pity. Until a naive client brings him his first 'adult' case, in which he must figure out who brutally murdered her boyfriend.
Ronman media tries to "Get in tha choppa!" but they decided to "stick around" to give you a glimpse of the cult classic 1987 film, Predator. Arguably, the best Predator movie, bar none (Ron said this). Listen to the crew, attempting to dissect the movie's 80s action tropes and find the interesting subtext hidden behind the film.
I don't know about you, but sounds interesting!
The Ronman Media crew takes a look into a 2009/2010 film by the name of "Daybreakers", starring Ethan Hawke as the vampire scientist with a heart and Willem Dafoe as Elvis. In a world-building story well crafted to imagine a time where vampires rule the world and humans are mere cattle, with the caveat that blood has become a rare necessity that threatens their world.
The Ronman team discussses Christian Bale's Equilibrium.
Synopsis:
Citizens will be forced to take emotion-destroying drugs in the future, ostensibly to protect themselves from war. In this sci-fi parable, Christian Bale's supercop rebels against a totalitarian, emotionless future state.
The Ronman Media Crew FINALLY discusses the finale of the unbreakable universe. The film , Glass (2019), follows Unbreakable hero David Dunn (Bruce Willis), now known as The Overseer for his vigilante exploits, and multiple personality antagonist Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) as they clash before being incarcerated in the Ravenhill Institution, under the watchful eye of psychiatrist Dr Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson).
Ron and Man Shoot the breeze as they discussed random stuff they found on the internet. Including reacting to "The Batman" 2nd Trailer and discussing the Three Stooges reboot that didn't aged well.
In this episode, the Ronman crew dives into the many characters in the 2016 M. Night movie, Split, an American Psychological "horror" thriller film, and finding the small details that make this movie great with a fine-tooth comb. Gid points out his favorite characters in the film. Hint: it's not Hedwig nor is it Dennis. Second Hint: Animal Farm
The Ronman Media Crew reacts to "Santet" Youtube Videos -- is it real? You won't believe what we saw with our own eyes. Ok, maybe you would.
SPOILERS: Probably Film Students doing their thing
The crew attempts to decipher the M. Night Shyamalan's movie from 2000, Unbreakable , arguably one of the first (if not the first) grounded superhero films that pave the way for a more dramatic look into superhero films that can rival to today's overly "marvel" films. Of course, the crew goes off tangent somewhere towards the end.
No John Cena's were seen during the whole recording of this podcast. Ron rejoices....or was that man?
The Ronman Media Crew visits the 1998 cult classic, Dark City and breaks down what made it a cult favorite and also, what made the movie interesting for each of the crew members. Ron (or was it, man?) loses it when discussing John Cena's acting career and Suicide Squad. (Get a life, watch anime, man). Meanwhile, Giddy brings up the difference between passion projects V Mainstream movies by using Quentin Tarantino as an example.
