Welcome to Rookie Politics, accessible politics for the underdog where we break down the issues you should care about.
The National Health service needs a service!
We are extremely lucky in the UK to have a public, free at the point of delivery, accessible health service. The NHS saves countless lives every year and is a key feature of national political discourse. But it’s struggling. If you, or anyone you know has tried to get a GP appointment, routine surgery, dentist, etc. you’ll know it’s a struggle. We constantly hear that the NHS is understaffed, under funded and overworked, but what's going on and how can we fix it?
