Quote: Our minds only know so much about what is at the edge for us to deal with. Our dreams know more, and when we listen, they take us right to the place we are meant to go. ~ Rebecca Wildbear
In chapter two, Liminal Grace, I share my near death experience of being in a plane crash during the turbulent time of adolescence. This experience profoundly changed my life and instilled a deep desire to be in service to others and live a meaningful and purposeful life. I also interview Rebecca Wildbear, soul guide for Animas Valley Institute, Wild Yoga instructor, and author of the recently published Wild Yoga: A practice of Initiation, Veneration, and Advocacy for the Earth.
Four years ago, I had the honor of joining Rebecca Wildbear for a transformative solo fast in the wild. In this interview, we explore together concepts of soul encounter, psychospiritual death and descent, the teachings and wisdom of our dreams and the more than human world, wild advocacy, and what is now needed individually on a soul level and collectively through responsible activism in order for humans to cross the next ecological threshold.
Each episode ends with a Root Awareness meditation.

Quote: “If I take a moment to accept the disturbing uncomfortable feelings in my heart first, and be with them and allow them to move in some way, and then cultivate a sense of joy and be in my garden with that, I am planting joy and that is what grows. Being in the joy actually creates more joy.” ~ Corva Rose (they, she) Tiwa/Tewa land
In chapter 1, At Home with the Elements, I share one of my first memories of home, wildness, nature’s wisdom, and being held by my mother through the storm. I also interview guest Corva Rose, founder of Tree School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Corva brings the radical act of compassion for self and others to gardening.
Tree School is a learning organization offering deep mentorship, habitat wisdom, and solid, high level gardening skills to community members in Albuquerque and beyond. They host playshops, run a 6-month Mentorship, and work with people in private sessions.
In my interview with Corva, we discuss climate grief and resiliency, aligning ecological passion with purpose, and planting compassion outside in our gardens and within ourselves in our everyday lives. Corva’s presence and sincerity stirs and awakens childlike curiosity and joy, as well as raw grief and hope for our Planet during ecological crisis and transformation.
Each episode ends with a Root Awareness meditation.
