Rooted Church

There are three persons in the one true and living God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

That we are not our own but belong, body and soul, both in life and death, too God and to our Savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the God-Man, the basis for all true Christian fellowship and service. As those redeemed by the Redeemer, we have no reason to fear our sin, we glorify Him in our confession.

Rooted Church continues the Revelation Sermon Series.  Pastor Josh Wise from Rooted Church - NWA preaches a sermon related to Revelation Chapter 8, pointing us to the importance of prayer in the midst of the Lord passing down his first judgement upon the earth while also understanding the depth of his grace in the midst of this judgement.

Pausing from our series in Revelation, Alex Gandy - Community Pastor at Rooted Church - Joplin discusses how Christ has come into the world, so what are we to do now? We look to John the Baptist for the following themes: we are to make much of Christ and little of ourselves, we are to be witnesses for Christ to our family, friends, and social circles, and we must understand the necessity and importance of bearing Christ's witness on this earth.

The story of Ruth is a love story. It's a story about a gracious redeemer who pursues his bride with kindness. In Chapter 3 Ruth submits herself at his feet, placing her life in his hands. She does this because she loves him and desires to enter into covenant with him. This is the story of Ruth...this is the story of all whom belong to Jesus, who is the better Boaz.

God leads Ruth and Naomi too Bethlehem. While they come hoping for scraps, they find so much more. A Redeemer is found!

Naomi experiences a season where grief seems to be waiting for her at every corner. Yet, the Lord has a plan to redeem her and that plan will be seen in Bethlehem.

John is given a glimpse of what will be. In this instance, He is given a vision of Christ whom in both His person and His work, is worthy of all worship and honor and praise...and He will receive it.

Despite all of their prosperity, the city of Laodicea lacked a quality water supply. As a result, they relied on a combination of nearby sources that produced lukewarm water which was known to be repugnant. Christ uses this to help paint a picture of the local church in this community. They were neither providing refreshment for the spiritually thirsty, not healing the spiritually sick. As a result, Jesus threatens to cast them from His mouth.
