So often we are told we need to shoot higher, keep hustling to reach the next level, that the next playing field is better and that we should not settle for where we are. But the truth is, it is OK to be happy where you are today! It doesn't mean that you won't move forward if God calls you to; it just means that you have found peace where you are.

As this year wraps up I pray that you can find your contentment.

No one wants to hear that their baby has turned breech... To be honest, that has always been something I worry about with my babies since the first 2 were! When Logan turned breech we had to start doing research and making choices... so today I wanted to share my experiences and my mindset, as well as what I would do different if we did it over again!

I was trying so hard to get ahead and recorded this episode 3 weeks ago... Yay for me! But life happens and here we are 3 weeks later! However, I can attest that our new summer routine ideas have been working (there is still more tweaking to do but we are on the right track).

Seems silly to think about school now that we just chatted on Summer Routines, but if you're like us... school never stops :) If Homeschooling is one of those areas you need some direction, I didn't really talk about it in today's episode, but I have added a Homeschool Consultation Service to the Rooted In - Faith, Family, Farmlife menu! To be honest... chickens terrified me! Give me a 1000 lb animal any day over something that could peck me! BUT after working with these birds for a few years now, I have come to love them. I love having fresh eggs each morning. I love having meat in our freezer that we raised. I love the view of them scratching through the yard each morning as they dig for bugs. So today we are going to chat in our mini homesteading series about your chicken options!

Need an incubator for those fertilized eggs? This is a great one! https://amzn.to/43J3L3Z

I grew up seeing the most beautiful gardens and I always wanted to be able to accomplish that, but I have come to the realization that a jungle garden will also produce food that I can feed my family and I am ok with that! Today lets chat about some gardening ideas!
