What is sex, anyway? Mel and Jase get into this question, as well as the notion that sex often evolves through different phases of life. Differences that range from goals and quality to orgasms and energy - with communication being the important constant through it all.
Welcome to the Wildly Connected podcast. Yes, the Wild Monogamy podcast is now Wildly Connected! Catch up with Jase and Dr. Mel DeBoer as they discuss Mel's recent graduation as a Naturopathic Doctor, Jase's continued work with men and community development, as well as our expanded perspective for the Wildly Connected podcast.
It's more than your appearance. It's an energy. It's a way of walking in the world. Would you fuck... you? What energy are you putting out to you partner? To the world? Mel and Jase discuss several perspectives to being fuckable - what it can mean for you personally and for your relationship.
Sometimes we simply give in to the convenience of 'meh' frozen pizza. Similarly, sometimes, we're simply trying to fill a void with pseudo sex. We settle for less when we all desire gourmet pizza, and we end up settling for lackluster sex AND feeling worse. How you do something is how you do everything - and Jase and Mel dive into what it means to live in your full vitality outside of the bedroom - so you can bring your full vitality to the bedroom.
How did we get here? How did we evolve from connected, supportive villages and tribes to individuals and families living so separate from one another? Community is incredibly important, and Mel and Jase talk about the importance of community in our individual lives and growth, but also for the continued expansion and growth of relationships. A supportive village can bring out the best in you, challenge you, hold you accountable, and celebrate your growth.
All too often we enter partnership with the expectation that this is the one who will complete us. Or we may feel burdened by the partner who expects to be completed. The truth of the matter is that you are the only one who can complete you. In this episode, Mel and Jase discuss the burden we place on one another when we hold expectations and what it means to take responsibility for our own growth.
We're back! Mel and Jase kick off the new year with an episode about intention. The word "goal" is used often this time of year, but what are your intentions? What are you "tending"? Your energy and attention are currency. How - and with who - are you spending it?
What is medicine? Is it that which brings you joy? That which helps you heal? In this episode, Mel and Jase talk about medicine in all its forms - the amazing connections, new perspectives, hard lessons, unbelievable joy and growth you can experience when you ... as Nahko says ... "find your medicine and use it"
In this episode, Mel and Jase discuss danger in living comfortably, and the life in living dangerously. To live dangerously means to live... and living never flowers in security. It flowers only in insecurity.
We're back! After several weeks apart on individual trips and intensives, Jase and Mel talk about coming back together. Often, while one partner is growing individually, the other partner is holding space. Mel and Jase talk about what it's like to be in these different roles - the beauty, the fear, and the delicious life-giving tension of saying goodbye, holding space, the anticipation of reconnecting, and the challenge of knowing you both will be different people on the other side.
