In our fourth episode of the season, we get the pleasure of learning about the newly established Murray Center for Student Wellness, that is enhancing student health and wellness services at BC through additional staffing, education, and training, and increasing access to mental health counseling for all students, thanks to a generous gift from BC alumna, parent, and benefactor Tami Murray.
The Murray Center's goal is to integrate campus health and wellness programs. It has placed University Health Services (UHS), UCS, Sports Medicine, and the existing Center for Student Wellness under the umbrella of the Murray Center, and works closely with the Dean’s Office in Student Affairs to provide timely support to students in need.
The center is directed by Dr. Douglas Comeau, associate vice president, Murray Center for Student Wellness, who had previously served as director of University Health Services and Primary Care Sports Medicine. And we are so lucky to have Doug with us today to discuss everything there is to know about the Murray Center!
