In this episode I speak of relationships and people I have struggled to forgive and how the lenses of hurt I would look through not only hindered my relationship with others and my freedom but effected my relationship with Jesus. Are we paying too much attention to the ones who have let us down, rather than allowing the one who will never let us down take control. The God of justice, who am I to be the judge? Giving the control to God. That’s freedom.

In this episode I (Elisha) speak about how I was rooting my worth in relationships, flattery, boys and situationships. My sights were diverted from paying attention to Jesus and my relationship with him, instead I was more concerned on what others thought of me. In this episode I am very venerable in sharing my story and what this looked like for me.

Welcome to series 2 of the podcast rooted, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! This year I am dedicated to sharing more of my story, being more venerable and focusing on what we pay attention to as a generation. What we watch? Buy? Talk about? Who we encounter? What we invest in? Or what we are not paying attention to? More importantly who? GOD should be and wants to be our main and single focus . So how do we refocus on Him in our everyday life and redirect our wandering eyes. Let’s be challenged to be intentional and stop to think about what we want out of life, a challenge we all face in this MICROWAVE culture as I like to call it. Part 1 - In this episode me and Freya Watson speak about our experiences throughout freshers, and what we wish we knew when we started. We both struggled within friendships, so how can we be authentic, and honest about our struggles? As well as reaching out to the people in our uni accommodation and even family we might find difficult. We believe that God calls us to be in communication and relationship with others. So listen to hear how we both have learnt through Gods word and the Bible and how to be rooted in vulnerable authentic, Godly friendships.

Part 2 - In this episode Niamh speaks about how certain ways her life changed after her amazing encounter with God. We also speak about how to deal with poor mental health alongside having a faith? How do we rid of the shame of feeling depressed? Asking for prayer in church? And leaving our past mistakes behind?

She went from complete disbelief in God, poor mental health, abusive relationships and drug and alcohol abuse to a unexplainable experience with God and an unwavering belief that he has saved her over and over again.
