What if some of what you're carrying didn't begin with you? And what if your ancestry holds not only wounds to be healed, but gifts waiting to be reclaimed?
In this episode, I sit down with Kari Balderston, mystic, healer, medicine woman, and energy counselor, for a conversation about ancestral healing, inherited patterns, spiritual connection, and the wisdom that can move through generations.
When we think about ancestry, it's easy to focus on what has been passed down that we would rather leave behind: family patterns, limiting beliefs, emotional wounds, fear, grief, and ways of relating that seem to repeat themselves from one generation to the next.
But lineage is more than what needs healing.
Our ancestors may also represent resilience, intuition, creativity, strength, knowledge, spiritual connection, and gifts that have traveled through generations before reaching us.
Kari's work explores both sides of that inheritance.
Blending intuitive channeling, energy healing, Reiki, ThetaHealing®, herbal medicine, and connection with Spirit, she helps people identify and release patterns that may be keeping them disconnected from themselves while creating space for greater clarity, freedom, joy, and alignment.
Together, we explore what it can mean to heal our relationship with our lineage without rejecting where we came from—and how we can begin distinguishing between what is truly ours, what may have been inherited, and what we're ready to stop carrying forward.
We also explore the other side of ancestral work: receiving.
What wisdom survived because of the people who came before us? What strengths are already woven into us? What happens when ancestral healing becomes not only an act of releasing pain, but also an opportunity to reclaim the resources, gifts, and deeper sense of belonging available through our lineage?
In this episode, we explore:
• What ancestral healing means
• How patterns can move through families and generations
• Recognizing what may no longer be ours to carry
• Releasing inherited emotional and energetic patterns
• Family wounds, beliefs, and recurring cycles
• The relationship between intuition and ancestral connection
• Working with Spirit, guides, and healing energy
• Why ancestral work isn't only about trauma
• Recognizing the strengths and gifts within our lineage
• Reclaiming intuition, resilience, wisdom, and spiritual connection
• Breaking patterns without rejecting our ancestors
• Creating greater freedom for ourselves and future generations
• Energy healing, Reiki, ThetaHealing®, and intuitive channeling
• The role of herbal medicine in supporting the body and spirit
• Returning to a deeper relationship with ourselves
At its heart, this conversation asks us to look at lineage differently.
We can honor where we came from without carrying everything that came before us.
We can release what no longer serves us.
We can receive what strengthens us.
And perhaps healing the lineage isn't about erasing the past, but changing our relationship with it—so that what moves forward is more conscious, more whole, and more free.
