An Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program at Seton Hall University. Additionally, he serves as the Director of the Gait/Motion Analysis Lab in the Interprofessional Health Sciences Center. He has been a licensed athletic trainer for over 25 years and an AT educator for 20 years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he works with Seton Hall University Athletics by conducting biomechanical analyses on athletes to determine injury risks and readiness for return to play. As part of his faculty responsibilities, Boergers conducts research studies and specializes in areas of throwing pathomechanics and emergency preparedness in sports. Boerger's research has led to over 20 peer-reviewed research manuscripts as well is the co-author of the book Finish Strong: Resistance Training for Endurance Athletes.
Boergers has been a serious endurance athlete since 2007 and has competed in various events covering running, cycling, and swimming in multiple countries, including finishing 3 Ironman triathlons, more than 20 Ironman 70.3 races, as well as countless other races at various distances.
Angelo Gingerelli M.Ed, MBA CSCS
Angelo Gingerelli has worked in the strength & conditioning field for almost twenty years in collegiate, professional, and private settings. The majority of his time in the field has been spent at Seton Hall University (Big East Conference) as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Adjunct Professor. Gingerelli started his career after competing in both Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting before transitioning into marathon running in his early thirties. This unique athletic background combined with years of practical application training for collegiate swimmers and runners makes Gingerelli an anomaly in most Strength & Conditioning circles.
Gingerelli holds degrees from the University of Delaware (MS Exercise Science), Virginia Tech (M.Ed. Health Promotions), and Seton Hall University (MBA Sports Management), is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and is a frequent presenter at state and regional NSCA Conferences as well as other clinics and was named the New Jersey State Director of the NSCA in 2022. He has finished the New Jersey Marathon three times (2011, 16, 18) and has run somewhere in the neighborhood of fifty other races ranging from local 5K’s to a Tough Mudder.
