Story Transcript:

Cy: Rhys edrychodd allan ar gaer fawreddog Caerffili, ei waliau canoloesol yn codi’n uchel uwch ei ben, tra bod golau'r gwanwyn yn llithro dros y tir gwyrdd helaeth.
En: Rhys looked out at the magnificent Caerffili Castle, its medieval walls rising high above him, while the spring light slipped over the vast green landscape.

Cy: Roedd teimlad o gyffro yn yr awyr wrth i'r teulu ymgynnull ar gyfer yr aduniad blynyddol, wedi’i drefnu gan ei gefnder bywiog, Cerys.
En: There was a feeling of excitement in the air as the family gathered for the annual reunion, organized by his lively cousin, Cerys.

Cy: “Rhys, paid aros i ti dy hun!” galwodd Cerys, gan wefru tuag ato, ei harenau disglair fel y gwanwyn ei hun.
En: “Rhys, don't stay behind!” called Cerys, rushing towards him, her bright eyes like spring itself.

Cy: “Deiwr, mae Nain Gwyneth â ni stori am y teulu.”
En: “Come on, Nain Gwyneth has a family story for us.”

Cy: Roedd Rhys yn teimlo'n anghyfforddus, yn dianc i’w feddyliau ei hun wrth i’w deulu chwerthin a siared.
En: Rhys felt uneasy, retreating into his own thoughts as his family laughed and chatted.

Cy: Fel pensaer ifanc, roedd wedi treulio'r rhan fwyaf o'i ddyddiau yn y ddinas, yn symud i ffwrdd o'i wreiddiau Cymreig.
En: As a young architect, he had spent most of his days in the city, moving away from his Welsh roots.

Cy: Roedd yn awyddus i gysylltu â'i etifeddiaeth, ond nid oedd yn gwybod ble i ddechrau.
En: He was eager to connect with his heritage but didn't know where to start.

Cy: Pan gynigiodd Cerys daith o gwmpas y castell, penderfynodd Rhys fynd gyda'r grŵp.
En: When Cerys offered a tour around the castle, Rhys decided to join the group.

Cy: Roedd y teimlad o wahanoliaeth yn pwyso yn drwm arno, ond roedd hefyd yn teimlo oblygiad i'w deulu.
En: The feeling of detachment weighed heavily on him, but he also felt an obligation to his family.

Cy: Wrth iddynt deithio trwy gorneli cyfrinachol y castell, roedd Gwyneth yn dweud storïau am eu cyndeidiau a'u cysylltiadau â'r safle hanesyddol.
En: As they traveled through the secret corners of the castle, Gwyneth recounted stories of their ancestors and their connection to the historic site.

Cy: Yna, ym mhabell lleiaf a phlygiadau'r waliau, canfûodd Rhys rywbeth anarferol—crest teulu cudd, cerfiad mewn carreg yn dangos cangen o'r teulu a oedd wedi byw yno ers cenedlaethau.
En: Then, in the smallest room and folds of the walls, Rhys discovered something unusual—a hidden family crest, a carving in stone showing a branch of the family that had lived there for generations.

Cy: Roedd gan y darganfyddiad hwn rywbeth arbennig, ac am y tro cyntaf, teimlodd Rhys ymdeimlad o berthyn.
En: This discovery held something special, and for the first time, Rhys felt a sense of belonging.

Cy: Ar ôl y daith, eisteddodd gyda Gwyneth ar fainc yn un o erddi'r castell.
En: After the tour, he sat with Gwyneth on a bench in one of the castle's gardens.

Cy: “Nain, sut mae'n bosib ein bod ni wedi colli cymaint o’r hanes?” ofynnodd, ei lais yn llawn chwilfrydedd.
En: “Nain, how is it possible that we have lost so much of our history?” he asked, his voice full of curiosity.

Cy: Gwenodd Gwyneth yn dyner, “Y peth pwysig, annwyl, yw bod ni'n darganfod pethau eto, hyd yn oed os yw'n cymryd amser.
En: Gwyneth smiled gently, “The important thing, dear, is that we rediscover things, even if it takes time.

Cy: Mae ein gwreiddiau yma i'n canfod.”
En: Our roots are here to find us.”

Cy: Cafodd Rhys ei lenwi â balchder newydd yn ei dreftadaeth.
En: Rhys was filled with newfound pride in his heritage.

Cy: Roedd yr aduniad wedi dod â nhw'n gildynn tynnach, gan wneud iddo sylweddoli bod cysylltiad â'i orffennol nid yn unig yn bosib, ond hefyd yn hanfodol.
En: The reunion had brought them closer together, making him realize that connecting with his past was not only possible but essential.

Cy: Dechreuodd chwilio am fwy o wybodaeth am hanes y teulu, efo awydd i ddod i adnabod ei hun a’i wreiddiau go iawn.
En: He began to search for more information about the family's history, with a desire to truly know himself and his real roots.

Cy: Fel yr haul wanwyn yn machlud, teimlodd Rhys efelychiad newydd o wres a llonyddwch yn ei galon.
En: As the spring sun set, Rhys felt a new warmth and calm in his heart.

Cy: Roedd wedi dod i ddeall bod ei wreiddiau yn rhan o bwy oedd ef, a bod y llwybr ymlaen, er anodd, yn un y byddai’n ymlwybro yn falch.
En: He had come to understand that his roots were a part of who he was and that the path forward, though challenging, was one he would tread proudly.
