This week we're talking about suicide and prevention, why we should face our fear of talking about suicide, how researchers seek to widen our understanding and how we can look to prevent suicide deaths.
Rory O'Connor is a highly experienced and respected voice in the field of suicide research. He's a Professor of Health Psychology, Director of the Suicidal Behavior Research Lab at the University of Glasgow and Head of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Group there. He's a President of the International Association for Suicide Prevention, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and sits on the Science Council for the charity MQ Mental Health Research, as well as many, many other accolades.
