The Government has undertaken to abolish direct provision by 2024. One of the organizations that have been campaigning for that to happen are DORAS which is headed up by Roosky man John Lannon and he has been speaking to Seamus Duke about the campaign and how their organization is funded.

The first ever Roscommon Town Christmas Festival will take place on Saturday 11th December and Sunday 12th December at the newly refurbished Square in the town. Seamus Duke has been speaking to Brendan Allen of Roscommon Chamber of Commerce and what's planned.

The Join Our Boys Trust have launched a major appeal to raise the funds that they need to get the three boys George, Issac and Archie into their new home for Christmas. The specially adapted house in Roscommon town is almost finished and extra work over the next couple of weeks will see the children, who suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy into their new home in time for Christmas. Paula Naughton spoke to Seamus Duke on the Good Morning Roscommon programme about the appeal.

A new programme called 'Voyage Around  My Brian' will start on RosFM on Monday 5th December at 9am and it is presented by Karen Meenan who presented the very successful 'Reminiscence on the Radio' series that finished in recent weeks.
