Shmuel Rosner and Nadav Eyal discuss Nadav's book, "Revolt: The Worldwide Uprising Against Globalization", out now in english.   Nadav Eyal is one of Israel’s most well-known journalists, and a winner of the Sokolov Prize, Israel’s Pulitzer. They chat about the IDI`s 2020 Israeli Democracy Index, its findings and more.   Professor Yedidia Stern is renowned in Israel and around the world as a jurist and researcher of society and state, who has authored books and policy studies in these fields. He serves as a Professor in the Faculty of Law at Bar Ilan University where he also previously served as Dean and holds a Doctorate in Law from Harvard University. Professor Stern serves as a Senior Fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute and has a record of civic and professional activity impacting key issues for the Jewish people and Israeli society, including issues of religion and state, as well as Judaism and democracy.

Shmuel Rosner and Ksenia Svetlova discuss her book - On high hill in the Middle East, her unique experiences as a journalist and a former Knesset member, and her views on the future of the middle east.   Ksenia Svetlova is a seasoned expert and analyst on Middle Eastern issues, with unique academic and practical experience. She had covered the Middle East extensively and visited many countries in the region, including Lebanon, Syria and Libya, interviewed Palestinian leaders Yasser Arafat and Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and many high-profile politicians in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan. She speaks English, Hebrew, Russian and Arabic. Svetlova served as a member in a committee for foreign affairs and defense during her term as Parliament member. Currently she is serving as a senior analyst at the IPS (Institute for Strategy and Policy) at the Interdisciplinary Center at Herzliya. She is also leading the department for research of ties between Israel and the Middle East at “Mitvim” think-tank for regional foreign policy.

Shmuel Rosner and Ephraim Shoham-Steiner discuss Shoham-Steiner's latest book: Jews and Crime in Medieval Europe.   Prof. Ephraim Shoham-Steiner is a historian specializing in Medieval Jewish History. He is an associate professor at the Department of Jewish History at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Be'er-Shevah. He is also the director of The Center for the Study of Conversion and Inter-Religious Encounters at BGU.

Shmuel Rosner and Ohad Hemo discuss the views of the Palestinian people and their hope for the future.    Ohad Hemo is the Palestinian Affairs Correspondent for the Israeli Television News Company. He has worked in the three Israeli main channels, where he has been covering the Palestinian field for the past 15 years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Tel Aviv University, and a Master's degree in Orientalism from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Shmuel Rosner and Guest Avi Gil discuss Gil's latest book, Shimon Peres: An Insider’s Account of the Man and the Struggle for a New Middle East. 

Ambassador Avi Gil served as the Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs from April 2001-November 2002. He also served as Director-General of Israel’s Ministry of Regional Cooperation, Deputy Director-General of the Peres Center for Peace; the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Media Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Finance, and Executive Policy Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has been closely involved in Israel’s policy-making and peace efforts, including the negotiations that led to the Oslo Accords and the peace treaty with Jordan. He is a Senior Fellow at the JPPPI and was a close advisor to President Shimon Peres.
