An interview with Leigh Baildham of the ancient City of London Worshipful Company of Glass-Sellers. We learn about the work of the company's charitable fund and how it works with schools, the armed forces and other organisations to support their work and promote the use of glass. The Worshipful company of Glass-Sellers of London received its Charter from King Charles II in 1664 and was originally set incorporated, as were the other "ancient" guild/companies, to maintain the quality of products being manufactured, imported and used in Britain. Nowadays it still takes a keen interest in the development and use of glass, which spans uses such as the glass in your hand to undersea glass-fibre cables that enable the world wide web to function.
