The way up is sealed behind a rockfall and the way forward runs through a hag's woods. The crew meets a village of leshies — sunflowers, cactus folk, a pumpkin-headed scarecrow called Jack — and a moss-bearded elder who warns them a zombie horde is coming for the village by morning.

Dropped into glowing fungal caverns with the rot creeping into their bones, the goons bargain with a dying delver named Garavan, adopt a mushroom leshy who only says "Shoom," and trade favors with fey that don't take no for an answer. Beetle swallows a water elemental. It does not help.
