This past weekend I saw the new Captain America movie in theaters. And honestly, I was surprised by how...whelmed I was by it. It was not as bad as the collective of reviews would lead you to believe. But, it was by no means good either, even considering its obligations as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I discuss some core issues I think the film faces, which range from severe story structure issues to circumstances of the current real world it has released in. But, I also talk about how there was a better version of Brave New World somewhere in here. Buried beneath layers upon layers of confounding and harmful decisions. So, do you agree with my diagnosis? What did you think of Brave New World? Is it fair of me to think this movie is just "World"? Was there anything you were hoping to see that you didn't? Let me know! And, of course, if there's anything you would like me to review that's on the horizon, mention that down there too!
