It was a real treat to have the talents the like of the I Think Like Midnight crew. A true hidden gem in the region consisting of guitarist, Andrew Chalfen (Wishniaks), Joe Genaro (Dead Milkmen), Dean Clean (Sabatino) (Dead Milkmen), and Josh Newman. Fluid, flowing sounds articulated with precision. Chalfen leads an engrossing experience enhanced and elevated by Genaro, Sabatino, and Newman.

This song, "Lozenge," derives from their second "glorious" album, This Land is Your Mind, available on ithinklikemidnight.bandcamp.com. This album was produced beautifully by Brian McTear (War on Drugs, Kurt Vile) and Brendan Monahan. This performance was recorded at the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company. We learned a lot about Bitchfork, including their love of sky diving in Maine, being a profitable band, and, most impressively, their drummer, Ch.tei's ability to crush it on drums despite losing both of his legs in an electrical incident. Bitchfork pounds the drum heads like they drive the guitar strings. Get to know Bitchfork on this Episode of the Original Slacker Podcast presented by Round Guys Brewing Company. The Original Slacker Podcast is recorded in the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company. This episode, Kyle McCarthy ran sound while the ever talented, Mamata Tharima edited down in production. Bitchfork can be summed up as simply really good rock music. Think Indie rock meets hard rock. Bitchfork laid down four tracks for while we met up for their podcast to be released this week. In this one, the band, Meaty (guitars, vocals), Larva (bass, vocals), Ch.tei (drums, backing vocals), perform "Divine Right" at the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company. About the Song: Exactly what it purports to be. A song about drowning in the rat race, working yourself to death "complete with a droning bridge of drudgery."

About the Song: Believe it or not, this song is not about drugs. Rather, its inspired by the rush from skydiving. There's a lot going on in this song. First, the lyrics "this could be such a splendid way to die...it feels so good to be alive" directly refers to the adrenaline rush the band felt when they used to perform at a sky diving event in New England, followed by AM jumps. Second, music geeks be on notice, the main verse riff starts as 8 notes, then drops to 7 next go round, then to 6, 5 and so on.

About the Song: Friendships are built not only on the people, but the location binding the people. 'When it Falls Apart' references close knit groups most notably founded by Laura's tiny high school class. As the lyrics go, "when it falls apart, you build it up again," alluding to the arson driven fire of Laura (Larva)'s old high school.

About the Song: The lyric "I'm the only one who knows what's best for you" harks back to a government / corporate overlord attempting to dictate and control all. From the band "a song for our time, as money rules politics and the separation of church and state becomes blurrier."

Secret Nudist Friends, who might have one of our favorite names to date, are a "queer psychedelic rock band" featuring the creative geniuses of Matty Klausen, Missy Pidgeon, Brian Hulilhen, and Deb, showcase their uniqueness and commitment to making music that occasionally feels like a 60s-70s garage rock throwback. Featuring hosts, Bill McGeeney and Stieven William Johnson, this podcast also includes a full length track.
