'Round the Cauldron

We all want to be ourselves at work and that often includes being free to express our religion in whatever manner it is safe to do so. Let's go over some EEOC Dos and Don'ts in terms of laws, regulations, and protections that are provided to you in the United States. The EEOC covers harassment, discrimination, and what you can and cannot request on religious grounds when it comes to your employment.  Let's talk about religion at work.

Dreams have puzzled humankind for centuries - probably since the birth of the human species. It has been said that dreams are a gateway to the otherworld, a way to understand our innermost self, or even a way to divine the future. In any case, dreams can hold many keys to understanding yourself and working closely with your deities and ancestors.

Hey there! Today, I wanted to talk about four different types of altars that I have seen and/or use in my own personal practice.

o Worship Altar
o Ancestor Altar
o Working Altar
o Practical Altar

These different altar types are only a select few that exist - and I'm sure I've left out many different others. Do you have any other altars you use? Do you use one of these altars but in a different fashion? Let me know!

This week I sat down and had a chat with my sister-in-law. Well, sat as close as we could since there are several states in between us! Anyway, we decided to have a chat about finding our roots and getting back to basics. She loves to bake and sew and I love to crochet and create - so we combined our knowledge and thoughts on why we think it is important to learn these basic skills.

With everything that's been happening in the world, I thought it might be a good idea to revisit this topic. I've spoken in the past about using your critical thinking skills and how that is a necessary part of researching witchcraft, magick, and even religion. Today, it goes a bit deeper with the pandemic we currently face. However, this can still be tied back into witchcraft.

"If you cannot hex, you cannot heal. If you cannot curse, you cannot cure."  A quote commonly attributed to Z Budapest, this idea that you need to know both sides of the coin has varying opinions and beliefs throughout the Pagan sphere. What do you believe?

A common question posed amongst new witches and Wiccans involves the need to join a coven. That - like almost everything else - is going to be a mostly personal decision.
