Monique's passion to help her community doesn't stop there as she's also the Director of the Miss Santa Fe Springs Pageant which offers scholarships and mentorship opportunities to young ladies in The City of Santa Fe Springs and local high schools in the area.

Jacqueline Ravelo, LCSW is a preschool teacher turned therapist. After graduating from New York University with a Master’s in Social Work in 2013, she moved to Miami and has worked with countless families in schools, community mental health, foster care/prevention, Juvenile Justice, early childhood/Infant Mental Health, and running a program for at-promise youth in Dade County. Jackie is passionate about helping Latine families navigate divorce, grief, academic pressures, and loss and supporting anxious teen girls. As a reformed anxious high-achiever, first gen Latina, and daughter of divorce, Jackie has dedicated her career to helping teenagers and their families.
Tune into this episode as we dive into all topics from her passion in working with juveniles to advocacy. Jackie also gives tips for parents and mentions signs to look out for to recognize when a teen may be in need of therapy.

In the second book titled It Starts with Us, it expresses the struggles one faces after breaking the cycle.

With domestic violence awareness month around the corner in October, I decided to share parts of my story of when I was in an abusive marriage. As I was editing this episode, I realized that I shared more of the emotional and mental abuse. As I mentioned in the episode, bruises heal faster than the emotional abuse one is put through. I hope my story brings hope to others in similar situations. Please know you are resilient and need to find your WHY.
