Peace, that is a word that I think all people strive for. Peace at home, peace in the world, peace in our own lives. Today as we hear from the Shepherd, let us see what kind of peace we receive from our God.

It is so easy to let the Christmas story be the same story we hear year after year, we fail to let our imagination experience what the experience may have been. This week, let's take a look and see what Mary treasured and pondered in her heart about the Christ child.

Hope. It's a word that comes to life during the season of Advent. During the season of Advent, we talk about the coming of the Christ child, we talk about what Christ has done for us, but this year, what if we focused on what Christ continues to do for us?

We have reached our final sermon in our 2019 Stewardship Series. Today is commitment Sunday. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, we give thanks for the ministry God has entrusted to us. As co-laborers of the faith, we pledge our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

There is a blessing in giving. One of the blessings is that we have the opportunity to help others. What would it look like if we focused on the ministries of tomorrow and reach for helping all that we can, by doing all that we can?

Our District Superintendent Rev. Dr. Ron Henderson brings us this message from Genesis 12: 1-5 and Malachi 3: 8-12

Today we start our stewardship campaign. What better place to start than looking at one of Jesus's great miracles. How can his example help guide us to live a generous life when we share Christ's love with each other and our neighbor. We also remember those in our church family who passed away this past year on this All Saints Sunday.

"The future of the church." That is a false statement, the youth and children we have in our church are a part of the church today. Sometimes we look at ministry TO youth and children, but what if we looked at doing ministry WITH youth and children?

What is one of the church's most significant resources? Our Older Adults. There is a tendency not to listen or care from the younger generation, while older adults can feel like they’ve done their share for the church. How can we continue to listen and learn from those who have gone before us?

What, or maybe a better way to phrase the question, Who is the church? You and me, Those who sit in the seats on Sunday morning, but more importantly, those who serve the community around us during the week. We are encouraged to know that the church is not ours, but Christ’s.
