RSN's Sporting Women speaking with Trish Eagan the Vice Chair of the Australian Turf Club. This weekend at Rosehill Gardens the Australian Turf Club is hosting its fourth Women in Racing Lunch in support of Ronald McDonald House Westmead.

Hosted by Seven Network's Mel McLaughlin, the Women in Racing Lunch celebrates the contribution from women from all facets of the thoroughbred industry.

The day will include a panel discussion led by Sky Racing's Caroline Searcy with prominent owner Debbie Kepitis, presenter and former jockey Pricilla Schmidt, race caller Victoria Shaw and stud managers Melissa Copelin and Bridie Sparkes.

Natashia is Victoria's first and only racing judge, whom we have spoken to earlier in the year, we have Nat back to talk spring fashion, and racing, along with finding out about her trip coming up next year to China to learn about how they do there racing.

Damien Keeping is the Senior Women's Coach for 2017 for the Carlton team, we speak to him about the team that he going to build for Carlton, pathways for finding talent, the draft, rookies and how is past coaching positions will help him going forward into the 2017 season.

Meg is the Captain of the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars our Australian Women's Cricket team, she is from Victoria and plays for locally for Box Hill, and she is also apart the Melbourne Stars team in the WBBL. We spoke to Meg on the back of the announcement this week from Cricking Australia about the increase in funding for Growing Cricket for Girls Fund, which provides grants to Schools, Clubs and Associations to assist with growth of women's cricket, and there is also additional funding for clubs to make them more inclusive and welcoming to women.

Melissa and Karen are both playing for the Melbourne team this weekend, they are not unfamiliar with each other as they are both members of the Darebin Falcons VWFL side. Melissa is a marquee player for the Melbourne side for 2017, and is looking forward to celebrating the last of these matches.

While currently Karen is unsigned and will be looking to impress this weekend prior to this game Karen was a member of the Western Bulldogs team, and is looking forward the match also.

We speak to them both about the season in 2017, and what means to be a part of this match.

Bec Goddard was announced as the senior coach for the Crows women's team for the 2017 season, she has played over 150 game of AFL herself in the ACT and also for Melbourne University, then went on to become an Umpire in Canberra, and as Bec said when she was no longer able to run the Km's required to umpire she turned to coaching and has not looked back.

We speak to Sally about the challenge, her sporting past and current goals with powerlifting, also the world record for the number people doing push up's at Movie World in November that her gym is doing to raise money for the TLC for Kids charity organisation.

Debbie Lee is the Women's Football Operations Manager for the Melbourne Football Club, and has been involved with the women's program at the club for the last four years. Debbie has play 302 games at senior level in the Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and is currently coaching VU Western Spurs.

We speak to her about her football career, about where she sees the competition heading in the future, and also chat about the upcoming match on the 3rd of September for the Hampson-Hardman Cup.
